Jimena Picciano

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Jimena Picciano, LMFT

hello

Hello,

I’m a bilingual therapist with a deep passion for helping people on their path to well-being. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, I hold Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Psychology and completed a Mental Health Residency at a psychiatric hospital, where I worked with individuals facing severe mental illnesses.

In 2012, I made California my home, focusing on supporting survivors of domestic violence and immigrants in the Bay Area. I’m certified as a Domestic Violence Counselor and trained in EMDR therapy. In 2016, I became a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California and recently in Utah too.

My diverse experiences, including my own immigrant journey, have equipped me to better understand the multicultural Hispanic community’s needs. I use a psychodynamic/psychoanalytic approach but tailor it to each individual’s needs.

My style is warm, empathetic, and practical, fostering a non-judgmental space where we can work together to achieve greater well-being. With attention, kindness, clinical expertise, and professionalism, I’m here to support you on your journey towards a more fulfilling life.
